Since many years ago Professor Alberto Chinski has dreamed of a World Congress of Pediatric Otolaryngology and now several of us decided it was time for that to become a reality. Over all these years, the Associations and Societies of Pediatric Otolaryngology have grown and consolidated more and more and we, as specialists, have become references in the field: the Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IAPO), the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO), the European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO), Asia-Pacific Pediatric Otolaryngology Group (APOG), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and African Society of Otolaryngology (PENTAFRICA).
In many countries throughout the continents, pediatric otolaryngologists have a greater participation in congresses, conferences, courses, and publications every day. It is time for all of us who love this profession, work with children, want to teach, want to learn and share experiences, and dream of a united community of pediatric otolaryngology, to make this happen and finally meet.
Undoubtedly, Professor Tania Sih, as the president of this Congress, with her organizational capacity, her tireless drive and work for the development of the specialty, will give special brilliance to the congress.

Why Buenos Aires?
Experience in International Events
The city has a fruitful experience in organizing events of great quality and magnitude, where each International Society needs a lot of requirements. This has been proven by the fact that our country has been selected for the most important conferences.
In Buenos Aires you can enjoy art museums, the classic Colon Opera House, theaters, music; everything that you would expect in a major Old-World City. Buenos Aires is home to over 300 theaters, 100-plus art galleries, at least 70 museums, and hundreds of all-night bookstores so those who live in Argentina never lack cultural activities.
Buenos Aires offers visitors excellent hotel accommodation with more than 13,849 rooms divided into 3, 4 and 5 stars hotels, a quantity which will be steadily increased year to year. And throughout the country, travellers can choose from top-class hotels to the homely simplicity of rustic mountain shelters.
